The Heart Behind the Lens: What It’s Really Like to Work With Me
One of the questions I get asked the most is: “What’s it like to work with you?”
And while I could give you a list of what’s included in your session or explain the process step-by-step (and don’t worry—I will), the truth is, it’s so much more than that.
It’s not just about taking pictures. It’s about feeling seen.
From the moment you send that first email, I want you to feel like you’re reaching out to a friend. I’ll respond with warmth, excitement, and genuine curiosity about you. Whether you’re celebrating an engagement, wrangling little ones for a family session, or capturing your senior year glow—your story matters. And I’m here to help tell it.
Before the Session
We’ll choose a date that works best for your life and your light. I’ll help you find the perfect location, offer wardrobe guidance, and give you a few gentle tips so you feel prepped—but never pressured.
You don’t have to know how to pose or what to do with your hands. That’s my job.
During the Session
Think: laughter, movement, connection, and the kind of moments that just happen when you’re truly present. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly I’ll stand back and let you be yourselves. That’s when the magic unfolds.
I chase the real. The in-between glances, the wind-blown hair, the belly laughs, and the moments of stillness that say everything without saying a word.
After the Session
This is where your story really comes to life. I’ll carefully hand-edit your images with love, intention, and a deep respect for your truth. When your gallery arrives in your inbox, it’ll feel like a love letter to this season of your life—one you’ll return to again and again.
You’ll be able to download, share, and print your favorites—and if you want help creating an album or wall art, I’ve got you covered there, too.
The Truth?
This is more than a photo session. It’s a pause. A breath. A celebration of your now.
And I’m so honored to capture it for you—beautifully, candidly, and wholeheartedly.
