Fifteen Years.
I can hardly believe I’m even writing that. Fifteen years of this little business that started when I was a brand new graduate nurse — just a girl with a camera, chasing light and trying to figure out life.
So much has changed since then. I’ve gotten married, raised four kids, and lived through some of the hardest days I never saw coming. There have been seasons where I’ve questioned everything — myself, my purpose, my strength. There have been mornings I didn’t even want to get out of bed, because life with a special needs child can be unbelievably heavy. Our days are often messy and unpredictable. Sometimes, it feels like chaos never ends.
But somehow… this business has always been there. It’s grown with me. It’s seen me through motherhood, exhaustion, joy, heartbreak, and healing. It’s been a constant reminder that even when life feels like too much, there’s still so much beauty left to hold onto.
There are times I’ve thought about walking away — but then one of you sends me a message about how much a photo meant to you. Or I see a mom holding her baby the same way I once held mine. And I remember why I do this.
It’s because of all of you — my clients, my people, my extended family — that I’ve made it fifteen years. You’ve kept me going more than you’ll ever know. You’ve trusted me with your most sacred moments, and in return, you’ve given me purpose on the days I needed it most.
So here I am, fifteen years later. Still here. Still learning. Still showing up. Still believing in the beauty that lives inside the chaos.
Thank you — truly — for growing with me, for seeing me, and for letting me do what I love. You’ve been part of my story in the most beautiful way.
